Michael is a senior executive and proven business leader with over 25 years of financial services experience leading global commercial and consumer finance business units at Fortune 500 institutions including GE Capital, Synchrony Financial, and TD Bank. Prior to joining Encina, Michael was a senior commercial executive at Synchrony Financial and held various leadership roles which include founder and Senior Managing Director of Synchrony Ventures, the Corporate Venture Capital arm of Synchrony Financial, and Head of M&A. Prior thereto, he spent 14 years at GE Capital in various commercial roles of increasing responsibility across cash flow lending, asset-based lending and equipment finance. Mr. Hensinger also led a cross-border financing business for GE Capital that provided customized financing solutions to multinational corporations across the globe with team members based in North America, Europe, Asia & Australia. He also worked at TD Bank, FirstLight Financial Corporation and CIT Group. Michael holds an MBA from Fordham University’s Graduate School of Business and a bachelor’s degree from Manhattanville College, both in New York.
