Ian is an accomplished financial services professional with over 25 years of experience originating, structuring and syndicating private equity backed, leveraged loans.

Prior to joining Encina Private Credit, Ian was a Managing Director in the Syndications group at Silicon Valley Bank where he was responsible for structuring and syndicating sponsor-backed leveraged loans for technology and healthcare companies. Prior to that, Ian was a Managing Director and Head of Capital Markets at MidCap Financial, a direct lending fund owned and managed by Apollo Capital Management where he was responsible for structuring and syndicating senior and junior loans across multiple industries. Previously, Ian held various roles in capital markets and leveraged finance at CIT and Credit Suisse.

Ian has an MBA in finance from Georgetown University and a BA in business administration from American University.
